Essay about Interpersonal and Small Group Communication

As I planed to take this class, I thought this course would be like all other general education courses. I believed that it would be of little use to me. However, after attending the first class, my view has changed completely. I applied each and every theory to my life. Amazingly all these ideas were exactly applicable. Perception checking is one of the things that I believe the most. As I looked back, I found tones of different times where I could have used perception checking to over come my problems. While interviewing Atif Alam about the team work that is done at his work place and he replayed some very obvious answer and all his experience in work were the same as we have discussed in our class discussion. But there was another†¦show more content†¦My boss said that there is no problem in the program. It is only u that doesn’t know about the programming that was the time when I feel really very bad. In the class when we were talking about the story (page 107). It remind of that experience that I had last year. Synergy: During the time when I was leading a term of IT people for the company that I work for, I experienced this problem a lot, and that was group, But I was use to work in team and to divide the work among all my team members according to the ability. I use to assign the most difficult job to the most experienced person and the easiest to the newly hired. The biggest problem in this method was that we were always late in our project. That creates a very bad effect of me on my boss. As one day I was discussing this problem with my Dad who was working for Government form and has 37 years experience in management. The first thing he asked me was my strategy of my work in my team. I explain the scenario to him. My dad showed me really easy solution for that. He said start dividing work among the group of people like assign part of work to two or three people and try to keep inexperienced people with experienced one because some time a new person know more than the previous one. While sharing problems with all the team members. I worked upon this suggestion and the results were dramatic and we finished our project before time and I was very happy because of this situation.
